It starts with a question.
Yanko has spent nearly two decades collecting, studying, and rebuilding vintage audio equipment, alongside a decade in industrial design and manufacturing. After co-founding a design brand, he left to explore a more personal intersection of culture, sound, and experience.
His work often starts with a simple question: what kind of sound can old military and industrial components — relays, transformers, capacitors, and other forgotten hardware — be made to produce?
Drawing on materials and equipment sourced from power plants, industry partners, and decades of audio history, he re-engineers these objects into contemporary audio instruments — preserving their character while pushing them toward genuine HiFi performance.
Half physics, half taste.
The process is half physics, half taste. Every piece carries a history. They aren't restored to what they were; they're given a new purpose: high-fidelity instruments to listen to, and objects, marked by their own past, to show and to talk about.
